Infatti, Mosé, disse: - Il Signore Iddio vostro susciterà tra i vostri fratelli un profeta come me; ascoltatelo in tutto quel che vi dirà.

Allora suscitaron delle persone a dire, averlo udito profferir parole di bestemmia contro Mosé e contro Dio.

Noi gli abbiam sentito dire che Gesù, quel Nazareno, distruggerà questo luogo e muterà i riti che Mosé ci ha tramandati».

In quel tempo nacque Mosé, caro a Dio; e fu nutrito per tre mesi in casa del padre suo;

A tal parola Mosé fuggì, e se n'andò come forestiero nella terra di Madian, dov'ebbe due figliuoli.

E Mosé, veduto ciò, si stupì di quella visione; e come si accostava per considerar la cosa, si fece udire questa voce del Signore:

- Io sono il Dio de' tuoi padri, il Dio di Abramo, il Dio di Isacco, il Dio di Giacobbe. - E Mosé, tutto tremante, non ardiva più guardare.

Guardate: questo Mosé, che avevan rinnegato dicendo: - Chi ti ha costituito capo e giudice? -, Dio lo mandò come capo e liberatore sotto la guida dell'angelo apparsogli nel roveto.

Questo è quel Mosé, che disse a' figliuoli d'Israele: - Dio vi susciterà di mezzo a' vostri fratelli un Profeta; ascoltatelo, come me avete ascoltato. -

dissero ad Aronne: - Facci degli dèi che ci guidino; perché di questo Mosé che ci trasse dalla terra d'Egitto, noi non sappiamo che ne sia stato. -

Il tabernacolo della testimonianza era co' padri nostri nel deserto, come Dio aveva ordinato parlando a Mosé, che lo facesse nella forma che gli fu data a vedere;

Vi sia dunque noto, fratelli, che per lui vi è annunziata la liberazione da' peccati e da tutte quelle cose, dalle quali non avete potuto esser giustificati nella legge di Mosé.

Or essi hanno udito che tu insegni a tutti i Giudei che sono tra i Gentili, a staccarsi da Mosé, dicendo di non circoncidere i figliuoli, e di non viver più secondo la consuetudine.

Ma, confortato dall'aiuto di Dio, l'ho durata sino ad oggi, rendendo la mia testimonianza davanti a piccoli e a grandi, senz'aggiungere nulla a quello che i Profeti e Mosè, han detto dover succedere:

E fissatogli il giorno vennero da lui in molti all'albergo; ed egli da mattina a sera esponeva le cose a testimonianza del regno di Dio, e con la legge di Mosè e con i profeti cercava persuaderli di Gesù.

Da richten sie zu ettlich menner, die sprachen, wyr haben yhn horet lester wortt reden widder Mosen vnd widder Gott,

denn wyr haben yhn horen sagen, Jhesus von Nazareth wirtt dise steet zu storen vnd endern die sitten, die vns Moses geben hatt,

Zu der zeyt wart Moses geporn, vnd war eyn feyn kind fur Gott, vnd wart drey monat erneeret ynn seynes vaters hauße,

vnnd Moses wart geleret ynn aller weyßheyt der Egypter, vnnd war mechtig ynn wercken vnd worten.

Moses aber floch vbir diser rede, vnd ward eyn frembdling ym land Madian, daselbs gepar er zween sone.

da es aber Moses sahe, wundert er sich des gesichts, als er aber hyntzu gieng zu schawen, geschach die stym des herrn zu yhm,

Jch byn der Gott deyner veter, der Gott Abraham vnd der Gott Jsaac vnd der Gott Jacob, Moses aber wart zittern vnd thurste nicht anschawen,

Disen Mosen, wilchen sie verleugneten vnd sprachen, wer hatt dich zum vbirster vnd richter gesetzt? den sandte Gott zu eynem vbirsten vnd erloser durch die hand des Engells, der yhm erscheyn ym pusch,

dis ist Moses, der zu den kindern von Jsrael gesagt hat, Eynen propheten wirt euch Gott ewr herr erwecken aus ewren brudern, den sollt yhr horen, gleych wie mich

Es hatten vnser veter die hutten des zeugnis ynn der wusten, wie er yhn das verordenet hatte, da er zu Mosen redte, das er sie machen solt, nach dem furbild, das er gesehen hatte,

Zu Joppe aber war eyne iungeryn, mit namen Tabitha, wilchs verdolmetscht heyst, Dorcas, die war voll guter werck vnd almosen die sie thett,

sie sind aber bericht worden widder dich, das du eyn abtrennen lerist von Mose, alle Juden, die vnter den heyden sind, vnd sagist, sie sollen yhre kinder nicht beschneytten, auch nicht nach gewonheyt wandelln,

Aber nach vielen vergangen iaren, brachte ich eyn almoßen meynem volck vnd opffer,

aber durch hulff Gottis myr gelungen, stehe ich bis auff disen tag, vnnd zeuge beyde dem kleynisten vnd dem grossisten, vnd sage nichts außerdem, das die propheten gesagt haben, das es geschehen sollt, vnnd Moses,

For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”

At that time Moses was born, and was exceedingly handsome. He was nourished three months in his father’s house.

Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians. He was mighty in his words and works.

Moses fled at this saying, and became a stranger in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.

When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came to him,

‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ Moses trembled, and dared not look.

“This Moses, whom they refused, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’—God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

This is that Moses, who said to the children of Israel, ‘The Lord our God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.’

saying to Aaron, ‘Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we don’t know what has become of him.’

“Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moses commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen

and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can’t be saved.”

But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.”

For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

They have been informed about you, that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children neither to walk after the customs.

Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,

When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about the Kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.
